Secure Services Corp. (SSC) Unveils Web-based Revenue Cycle Management for Medical Providers
Downers Grove, Illinois (March 31, 2008) - Secure Services Corp. (SSC) unveiled the new web-based interface for SHAPE ClaimRemedy. TM SHAPE ClaimRemedy includes SHAPE IDentifyTM for eligibility checking and SHAPE EditTM the claims scrubber and claims editor. These products are uniquely designed to get doctors paid for the services that they provide to patients.
"Moving to a web-based product versus software that is resident on a medical office computer offers a number of benefits," said Lester H. Keepper Jr., SSC's Chairman and CEO. "We heard from a number of medical offices that they had limited space on their computers for additional programs. By having the program on our servers we've solved that problem and made it easier to upgrade the program and have it instantly available to our clients."
Leveraging the power and mobility of the Internet also makes SHAPE ClaimRemedy the best solution for medical providers with multiple locations since the administrator can log-on from any computer and access their information. SHAPE Claim Remedy, SHAPE IDentify and SHAPE Edit are HIPAA-compliant, providing the security and privacy medical providers require.
There are a number of groundbreaking new features in the web-based version including:
- Claim notes - allows the medical provider to add notes to a claim and still send it to a payer electronically. Most systems require claims with notes to be forwarded manually. Claims notes are often needed if there is a secondary payer, a claim is workers' compensation or some other special circumstance
- Claim management - this feature provides a snapshot of claim status within the office
- Claim status - this feature allows the office to query the insurer in real-time regarding the status of a claim.
SHAPE IDentify connects to virtually all payers including Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medicare and Medicaid. This real-time payer connection provides access to the carrier's website and database to yield a response in as little as 3-7 seconds. This reduces time spent on the phone to determine eligibility and coverage by as much as 50% according to the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH).
SHAPE Edit uses all the published payer-specific rules to edit claims. It also is the only product using unpublished rules based upon payer-specific behaviors to boost first time payment to as much as 98%.
