SSC Builds Trust via Privacy and Security
The question: "How to create TRUST, PRIVACY and SECURITY within the financial, commercial and healthcare industries?" has been thoroughly investigated and analyzed by SSC founders. The results: Identification, Authentication and Authorization with proper protocols for the user, are required to promote TRUST for consumers, patients, providers and payers in the financial, commercial and medical services industries.
- The providers need to be assured that they are giving service to the identified customer, or treating the correct patient.
- The payors need to be assured that they are paying only for agreements, with customers or patients for products or services provided.
- The customers, and patients need to be assured that the most current and complete information is available to the provider when completing their transaction treatment.
SSC developed the SHAPE Card, environment and assembled a portfolio of products and services needed by the financial, commercial, and medical industry for improving customer services and patient safety. At the same time SSC helps increase profits of providers and payers while complying with privacy / HIPAA requirements the government established for commercial activities. The company's Card works as the pointer to the security of user, commercial, and personal health records. The biometric, match-on-card system is the center of the transaction processing technology, which triggers the personal identification for cost savings at user, provider, payer and patient levels.
Cost savings result in many ways for the commercial, insurance and financial users, patients, providers and payers. These costs decrease with little or no front-end investment by either the commercial, insurance, financial user, payer or provider. Providers and users need not install any new information systems as SSC products wrap around existing systems and preserve the provider's investments.
The transaction processing design requires between fifteen and thirty minutes of orientation and training time for the typical end user to become competent in the use of these products. All deployment, orientation and training, beyond "training the trainer", are conducted remotely using web based tools. Weekly product updates with the latest improvements arrive via the web backbone.
The SSC SHAPE Card developed over a three year period reduces costs, improves the quality of service, care, and most importantly increases TRUST among users, patients, providers, and payers.
These and additional products have been developed since 2004 by the following key personnel, and supported by a strong professional staff:
- Les Keepper, the visionary and rock of the corporation, drives the solution of developing TRUST in a variety of commercial arenas, and especially the medical world.
- Raymond Pedden, a pragmatic medical informatics professional designed the infrastructure and architecture that will achieve SSC goals of profit while providing a level of security and trust currently unavailable.
- Darryl Strickland, a seasoned software architect and engineer, designed and developed key applications in both the healthcare and financial services industries.
- Mark McGovern serves on senior level government security, privacy systems is a world recognized expert.
The company identified that in addition to the medical community, their Card fits very well in many financial, insurance, commercial and governmental operations. The SSC identity products are both needed and wanted by Unions, Airlines, Driver's license authorities, and many government organiza-tions. These are long-term goals of the company. SSC already sees enthusiastic acceptance of its products, and comfortably envisions a rapid and successful growth.
